β¦ Synopsis
The Helmholtz free energy and pair correlations for liquids composed of nonspherical molecules have been studied by the method of conditional distribution, proposed by Rott. Within the framework of the method the concept of an average force potential is used to develop a truncation procedure for an arbitrary equation of the chain. The closed system ofintegral equations for the average force potential is similar to that used by Belov and Brook-Levison for monatomic fluids.
