In this paper it is shown that any 4-connected graph that does not contain a minor isomorphic to the cube is a minor of the line graph of V n for some n 6 or a minor of one of five graphs. Moreover, there exists a unique 5-connected graph on at least 8 vertices with no cube minor and a unique 4-conn

β¦ Synopsis
The Petersen family consists of the seven graphs that can be obtained from the Petersen Graph by Y2-and 2Y-exchanges. A splitter for a family of graphs is a maximal 3-connected graph in the family. In this paper, a previously studied graph, Q 13, 3 , is shown to be a splitter for the set of all graphs with no Petersen family minor. Moreover, Q 13, 3 is a splitter for the family of graphs with no K 6 -minor, as well as for the family of graphs with no Petersen minor.

## Abstract We give a structural description of the class π of graphs that do not contain a cycle with a unique chord as an induced subgraph. Our main theorem states that any connected graph in π is either in some simple basic class or has a decomposition. Basic classes are chordless cycles, cliqu

## BACKGROUND. Two genes responsible for hereditary breast cancer (BRCA1 and BRCA2) have been identified, and predisposing mutations identified. Several studies have provided evidence that germline mutations in BRCA1 and BRCA2 confer an increased risk of prostate cancer. Based on these findings, o
## Abstract The methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) 677Cβ>βT polymorphism has been associated with an increased risk of schizophrenia in various caseβcontrol studies. However, caseβcontrol studies are sensitive to population stratification, which is not an issue in familyβbased studies. We
