The smectic C phase of 44'bis-(heptylouy)-azoxybenzenc was studied using a spin label probe. WC found evidence supporting the multidomain model. Fields of 3300 G are not sufficiently large to reorient the ramplc. The tilt angle was estimated as 32g.
