โฆ Synopsis
Taking advantage of a special class ofmultiplierless one-dimensional digitaljilters (1,2), which were designed with coeflcients which are powers of two, it is possible to design twodimensional digitaljlters, which also possess powers of two coejicients. The stability of these filters is considered and some design examples are presented. The 2-D jilters designed are multiplierless resulting in hardware economy.

A method is presented for the design of a class of two-dimensional (2-D) stable digital filters satisfying prescribed magnitude and constant group delay specifications. The design method generates a 2-D digital transfer function which is a product of two transfer functions H,(z,,z,) and H,(z,,z,), c
