โฆ Synopsis
A BS TRA CT
The structural damping of a panel can be quickly determined by using a sound intensity technique. The panel is mounted at the opening of a box structure or onto a window separating two rooms and is subjected to an excitation by broad-band white noise. The sound pressure behind the panel, the vibratory t, elocity of the panel and the radiated sound intensity in front of the panel are used to calculate the panel's structural loss factor.
