โœฆ Synopsis

The deviation of very small nuclear systems from saturation is studied. In the framework of a soluble one-dimensional model based on the energy density formalism, we establish simple expressions for the density profile, the deviation from nuclear matter density, and the Fermi energy as a function of particle number. The binding energy of the nucleus is computed and the effect of the departure from saturation is identified as a term exponentially decaying for large A. A comparison with the theory of Krappe and Nix is also presented. Minimizing the total energy p tk = 0 = a~,(~) + u;(p) A-1'3 + a&(p) A--2'3, 4 (I-2) 450

## Abstract In this contribution an algorithm for parameter identification of geometrically linear Terzaghiโ€“Biotโ€type fluidโ€saturated porous media is proposed, in which nonโ€uniform distributions of the state variables such as stresses, strains and fluid pore pressure are taken into account. In this paper we give a numerical method based on ยฎnite element discretizations to simulate the thermoelectrical behaviour of electrodes for electric reduction furnaces. After introducing the mathematical model we take advantage of the cylindrical symmetry of the problem to compute boundary conditio
