โœฆ Synopsis

With the evolution of conrputers toward ever increasing computing speed, the numerical aZgorithms implemented on such computers are more and more complex, and require a very great number of ::omputations.The numerical errors inherent in floating-point arithmetic of the computer generate errors in the results which may be fairly great. In this paper we propose a software based on the I,erturbation Method for estimating the locaL accuracy in the Fast Fourier Transform, both in the case of exact data (computing errors aLone and in the ease of experimentaL data (data errors and computing errors).

A new data reduction technique for measuring the convective heat transfer coefficient is reported. The technique is based on the evaluation of the Fourier transform of simultaneously measured freestream temperature and surface wall temperature or heating power. Any wave shape can be used to heat-up

An attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared method has been developed that allows collection of spectra from proteins in solution. This method eliminates any structural perturbations induced by the internal reflection element (IRE), and thus the spectra reflect the solution conformati
