✦ Synopsis


A new design in microcaIorimeters utilizing a unique detector configuration that gives good sensitivity and rapid analysis time is described. The detector is capable of sensing less than 5 meal without additional amplification and uses only small (lo-100 ~1) volumes of sample. Application to several inorganic, organic, and biochemical reactions are given. The advantages of heat-sensing instrumentation with respect to analytical determinations are augmented by the rapidity of operation of the described instrumentation. 230
