Abstract
This paper presents a new geometry based on a slot‐shaped waveguide antenna for beam‐scanning applications. The slot is L‐shaped and composed of centered and transversal longitudinal parts. The longitudinal slot is the radiated part whereas the transversal part is the feeder. By properly adjusting the transversal part's position, beam scanning can be achieved, especially in 45° increments, which can be interesting for active antennas. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
