✦ Synopsis

This paper describes a 2Β½D site model constructed from randomly scattered data points. The model is based on the subdivision of the xy plane known as the Dirichlet tessellation and its data structure is a computer representation of the related Delaunay triangulation. Applications of the site model are described which assist the engineer, architect and quanitity surveyor in building site problems. The problems of relating and coordinating the large amounts of data needed to set up the model are discussed and the user interface described.
