Abstract
A compact design for a single‐feed cavity‐backed slot antenna is presented for operating at GSM (900 MHz) and DCS (1800 MHz). With the use of a carefully designed power distribution network, a single‐feed design is realized for a dual‐ and wideband slot antenna with high gain and good radiation patterns. Measured results show that the antenna has a wide bandwidth at both frequency bands and it exhibits high gain and good radiation patterns, which is desirable for many dualband applications.© 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract The results of a parametric study for the development of an L‐band, circularly polarised, dual‐feed, cavity‐backed annular slot antenna is presented. The study includes detailed numerical simulations and measurements on a prototype with different ground planes in order to assess the ant
No¨el design of a dual-frequency triangular microstrip antenna with a V-shaped slot is proposed and experimentally studied. By selecting suitable dimensions of the V-shaped slot, dual-frequency operation with the frequency ratio ranging from 1.488 to 1.834 has been obtained using a single probe feed
This work looks at the use of wideband cavity-backed U-slot microstrip antennas in finite phased arrays. This configuration retains the single-patch and single-layer characteristics of conventional microstrip antenna arrays and provides a good impedance matching over wider scan angles when electrica
