โฆ Synopsis
To develop a speed control technique for automated driving of heavy-duty vehicles, which can be applied to the intermixed tra$c situation of heavy-duty vehicles and passenger cars, simulation study is carried out to check the control performance for timedependent target speed. The control performance is revealed in the case of constant rate of change of target speed. The frequency response characteristics of the vehicle speed and distance are revealed in the case of the sinusoidal change of target speed. This shows that there is a frequency range where the change of the gain characteristics depends on a control period ยน.
