โฆ Synopsis
Adsorption equthbna m hqmd multlcomponent systems are an essential part of the descnptlon of the adsorptron behavtour m adsorber beds This work presents a slmpltfied model for the prediction of competltrve adsorption eqmhbna, only with single-solute data m the interesting concentratton range It IS easy to handle and can be extended to each number of components A comparison between this model and the IAS theory shows that both models are based on the same concepts However, there are some deviations and IimitatIons m the use of the simphfied model It can be shown that in a concentration range less than 0 1 mmol/l the two models are m good agreement, whale at higher concentrations the results may differ For drinking water treatment, the low concentratlons are of Interest and thus the simplified model provides a good alternative for the prediction of multicomponent eqmhbna data CES Vat 33 No t2--G
