β¦ Synopsis
A safety factor as a handy criterion for estimating maximum tensile strength has been developed on the basis of analyses of retrieved aluminaβceramic body implants. The factor, which depends mainly on the given failure probability of a part, and on the statisticallyβderived Weibull modulus allows inexpensive estimations for the designing of ceramic implants.
