A Simple Method for the Preparation of Aryl Trifluoromethyl Ketones. -The pyridinium trifluoroacetate (III) is shown to be an effective, easy to handle and stable trifluoroacetylation agent for electron-rich aromatic compounds. The reaction can be carried out as a one-pot procedure.
