✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A molecular field model for amorphous antiferromagnets is considered by taking into account the structural fluctuations which could exist in amorphous materials. The results show that the fluctuations shift the susceptibility versus temperature curves towards or away from the temperature axis with changes in the NΓ©el temperatures. The direction of the shift depends on the sign and on the size of the fluctuations in the exchange integrals. The present results are consistent with the magnetic properties of an amorphous Mnο£ΏPο£ΏC alloy.

## Abstract An effective field model of an amorphous antiferromagnet is developed assuming a distribution of near neighbour distances and hence a distribution of effective field coefficients between interacting atom pairs. It is shown that such a material is characterized by a symmetrical distribut
