โœฆ Synopsis

A simple procedure is described for measuring bile sait sulfotransferase. The system used glycolithocholate coupled to Sepharose as substrate. The assay is carried out directly in the scintillation counting vials. It is easy to perform and reproducible; and the results are comparable to those obtained from other established procedures. There is no thin-layer chromatographic separation of the reaction products.

We describe a method for the detection of isoforms of several glycolytic enzymes by activity staining after native PAGE. The staining is based on coupled enzyme assays carried out on the gel after electrophoresis and is linked to the disappearance of NADH, which is visualized by fluorescence. This m
