A simple and efficient temperature controller suitable for experiments at cryogenic temperatures is described. The controlling efficiency in the temperature range from 77 to 300 K has been found to be better than + 20 inK.

โฆ Synopsis
For automatic level regulation of cryogenic liquids in dewar vessels reports of devices using different kinds of level sensors such as capacitance, gas-bulb, and resistance have been published. This note describes a very simple and inexpensive cryogenic liquid level controller which utilizes the forward resistance property of a germanium diode. The operation of the controller, relevant solid-state circuitry, (Fig. ) and other particulars are as follows.
