A simple apparatus is described for the generation of isotopic hydrogen gas by acid-catalysed hydrolysis of sodium borotritide or borodeuteride. The apparatus may be conveniently utilised for isotopic hydrogen reductions of from 20 urn01 to 1 mmol scale.
