✦ Synopsis

Abstract

magnified image We report an efficient and new method of synthesis of 2‐amino‐5,6‐dihydro‐5,7‐diarylquinazolin‐4‐ols by the reaction of substituted cyclohexenones with guanidine hydrochloride in presence of NaOEt. The reactions are with 50–72% yield. All the synthesized compounds are characterized using IR, NMR and CHN analysis. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2009).
