โฆ Synopsis
Based on boundary layer renewal, an approximate analysis was carried out for the heat transfer from a discrete heat source on a solid wall to the liquid near an oscillating air/liquid interface and an interface undergoing wave movement. The heat transfer coefficients predicted by the simple analysis are in good agreement with previously reported experimental results on air/water as well as results using the air/50% propylene glycol aqueous solution systems.
