Abstract

A stereoselective five‐step total synthesis of the hitherto unknown carbocyclic alpha‐L‐dideoxyhomonu‐cleosides starting from readily available (1R,5__S__)‐2‐oxabicyclo[3.3.0]oct‐6‐en‐3‐one is described.
