✦ Synopsis
A battery of precalibrated Sephadex cohtmns is described which can separate vesicle-trapped solutes from free solutes in as little as 1 hr for 20 samples. The procedure described allows measurement of solute trapping and transport by small, lipid-rich vesicles for which convenient alternate methods are not available. The procedure described has high resolution, reasonable material recoveries, linearity, reproducibility, and a high dynamic range.
