โœฆ Synopsis

A semi-empirical procedure is proposed for the prediction and correlation of viscosity of liquid mixtures as a function of composition at a given tcmperaturc. The scheme is fcund to be substantiated by experimental data and has the merits of extrapolation for predictkg viscosities of multicomponent mixtures and extension to higher temperatures on the basis of data at a lower temperature.

## Abstract The theory of viscosity of liquid mixtures presented here is based on Eyring's theory of absolute reaction rates. The most important conclusions drawn are that for liquids the free energies of activation for viscosity are additive on a number fraction or mole fraction basis and that int

The aim of this work is to propose a method of prediction of the kinematic viscosity of a liquidphase mixture from the known viscosity ofthe pure components. Thecomputation ofthe excess term relative to viscosities is based on Eyring's theory. We represented the deviation to ideality by a group cont

the case of low modulation speeds can be covered by our theory, because every channel has a different dispersion, which will result in different pulse broadenings and different pulse walk offs, due to the group-velocity dispersion mismatch.
