✦ Synopsis
A semi-continuous process for the production of human interferon-ac (IFN) from E. coli is described. Harvesting of bacteria, removal of cell debris andconcentration were performed by tangentialflow microfiltration (cross-flow microfiltration). Purification was done in a single step by 8 monoclonal-Ab column. In the process, purified material, 3-9x10 units/mg protein was obtained with a 65% overall yield.
