Abstract

The coupled equations that describe the effect of largeโ€scale magnetic and velocity fields on forced highโ€diffusivity magnetohydrodynamic flows are investigated through an extension of mean field electrodynamics. Our results generalise those of Rรคdler & Brandenburg (2010), who consider a similar situation but assume that the effect of the Lorentz force on the momentum equation can be neglected. New mean coupling terms are shown to appear, which can lead to largeโ€scale growth of magnetic and velocity fields even when the usual aโ€effects are absent (ยฉ 2010 WILEYโ€VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. ## Abstract Based on the soโ€called Hirshfeld atom in the molecule scheme, a new AIM method is presented. The method is similar to the Hirshfeldโ€I scheme, with the AIM weight function being constructed by minimizing the information loss upon formation of the molecule, but now requiring explicitly th

This paper is concerned with the applicability of a time series model for the separation of the rej7ected noise energy by rough reflecting surfaces into diffuse and geometrically reflected noise. For the derivation of the theoretical model a combination of theory of geometrical acoustics and statist
