## Abstract In FDTD simulations, the excitation sources can be divided into two categories: (i) the displacementβcurrent source, which is generated by a timeβvarying electric field; (ii) the inducedβcurrent source, which exists in the lossy material. Currently, the latter source is the popular choi

PROBLEM
This study considered several questions that arise from Gurman's ( 2 ) recent survey of institutional sources of articles in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology ( J C C P ) . Since only JCCP was included in that study, there is, as Gurman(*) noted, a question about the generality of the findings to other mediums of clinical research publication. As a partial consideration of this problem, the institutional contributors to the Journal of Clinical Psychology ( J C P ) were surveyed in order to compare sources of articles for these two major clinical journals.
Secondly, Gurman evaluated the productivity of academic facilities by individual institutions, but considered the nearly 200 VA installations as a single group. This makes comparison of productivity difficult, especially since several VA installations have as large a clinical staff as most academic departments, and when all such locations are summed together they represent a force of over 800 clinicians. Therefore, to provide a more meaningful basis for comparisons of productivity between different types of institutions, the contributions of all facilities first were considered individually and then by groups. The groups considered were universities with APA-approved clinical programs, universities and colleges without such programs, VA facilities, and state psychiatric hospitals.
The third concern was to examine the relationship between publication frequency and estimated quality of the clinical faculty in academic departments with APA-approved clinical programs. This was accomplished by comparing frequency of clinical research publication to the quality of graduate psychology faculties as rated by the latest report ( l ) of the American Council of Education.
Of the 74 "high-productivity" locations, 56 were universities with APA-approved clinical programs (including Stanford, which had held approval until 1969).
