✦ Synopsis

A screen-printed disposable enzyme electrode system for the simultaneous determination of sucrose and glucose was developed using mediated enzyme reaction and screen-printing technology. The system consisted of two carbon working electrodes (electrode I and II) and a Ag=AgCl reference electrode. Chronoamperometry was performed on quiescent solutions for the measurement steps at a constant potential of 0.4 V (vs. Ag=AgCl). The enzyme composition was optimized. The linear response ranges were up to 10 mmol=L sucrose and 15 mmol=L glucose. The sensor was applied to assay real samples. The results are in good agreement with those obtained by the reference method.
