✦ Synopsis
Objective: To identify some reasons why the College should not change its name.
Conclusions: A change of name is premature, irrelevant and contrary to the will of Australian voters. It ignores the experience of New Zealand, Ireland and Canada and confuses a recognition of the College's standing with ties to the monarchy. More useful reforms to the College would include the right to directly elect our President and Executive.
