β¦ Synopsis
A resemblance function (COCHIS) based on the probability of species association and correlation is proposed. It is a development of the underlying idea of association analysis and can serve to produce similarity matrices for polythetic classifications and ordinations. Examples are given utilizing field and simulated data. * The work has been supported by the italian Ministry of Education. We would like to thank the Profs. D W. Goodall, E. van der Maarel and I. ## Abstract Conventional graphical or computer methods for identifying aquifer parameters have their own inevitable limitations. This paper proposes a computer method based on a drawdown model and a heuristic approach of simulated annealing (SA) to determine the bestβfit aquifer parameters of the c
