Historical reconstructions and predictions of streamwater acidification are presented for moorland and afforested catchments in the Welsh Uplands at Plynlimon. MAGIC (Model of Acidification of Groundwater In Catchments) is validated by application to an afforested catchment. MAGIC is used to illustr
