## Abstract Long chain ฯ‰โ€^123^โ€Iโ€labelled fatty acids such as 16โ€Iโ€hexadecanoicโ€, 17โ€Iโ€heptadecanoicโ€, and 16โ€Iโ€hexadecโ€9โ€enoic acid have been prepared without adding carrier by nucleophilic ^123^Iโ€forโ€Br exchange in acetone, in the melt, and by use of phase transfer catalysts in nonโ€polar solvents
