โฆ Synopsis
The spontaneous reaction synthesis (SRS) of superconductor YiBa2Cu307 ( 123 ) took the shortest time of reaction, less than 5 rain, from metals and peroxides as original reaction materials. Chemical stoichiometric ratios of Y: Ba: Cu = 1 : 2: 3 were applied and specimens were subsequently sintered in oxygen with Po2 = 1 arm at 925ยฐC for 5 h. X-ray diffraction (XRD), four-wire resistance (p), magnetic susceptibility measurements (X) and micro-analysis were conducted to test superconductive properties. The best superconductive properties from the 1:2:3 samples with high-purity single phase of Y1Ba2Cu307 were shown by the results to be easily achieved by the SRS process.
