✦ Synopsis

Cyclic 2-amidofurans were obtained using a Rh(II)-catalyzed reaction ofct-diazoketo substituted pyrrolidinone derivatives. Acylation followed by a Diels-Alder reaction of the resulting amidofuran furnished both inter and intramolecular cycloadducts.
