The inhabitants of geographical regions w i t h a dry climate are not the only ones that suffer from a shortage of drinking water. Industries, farms, t o w n s and villages located in r e m o t e areas are also affected in a similar manner. Thanks to a novel design out of a co-operation w i t h Sulzer Hydro, Sulzer Pumps -a product division of Sulzer Roteq -has d e v e l o p e d an energy-and space-saving unit comprising a p u m p and energy-recovery t u r b i n e for reverse osmosis.
