## Spreadsheet programs have become very popular as convenient ways of performing mathematical operations, as well as entering and organizing data. This paper describes how Lotus l-2-3 can be used to calculate the results of a radioimmunoassay. a widely used technique in biomedical laboratories.

β¦ Synopsis
Protein assays have become a widespread procedure not only in biochemistry but in many disciplines. This paper describes a program that takes advantage of the capacity of a spreadsheet program such as Lotus l-2-3 to produce a graph and perform the calculations necessary for such assays. Its simplicity allows users with little or no experience with Lotus l-2-3 to run it once installed.

A user friendly interactive computer program, CIRDIC, is developed which calculates the molar ellipticity and molar circular dichroic absorption coefficients from the CD spectrum. This, in combination with LOTUS l-2-3 spread sheet, will give the spectra of above parameters vs wavelength. The code is
We have developed a menu-driven computer program (CARDIO), based on a Lotus l-2-3 template and a series of macrocommands, that rapidly and semiautomatically calculates cardiac output from dye or thermal dilution curves. CARD10 works with any dye or thermal dilution recorder with an analog output, an
