## Abstract In this work, a new biomaterial resulting from the isolation of octopus rhodopsin (OR) starting from octopus photoreceptor membranes is presented. Mass spectroscopic characterization was employed in order to verify the presence of rhodopsin in the extract. Photoreversibility and photoch
