Es scheiden sich feine gelbe Nadeln ab, leicht loslich in Chloroform, schwer loslich in Ather und Essigsaure-anhydrid. Beim trockenen Erwarmen spalten sich das Produkt bei 65-70°, in Losung bereits von 45O an in seine Komponenten. 20,165 mgr Subst. gaben 43,025 mgr CO, und 7,260 mgr H,O 0,1169 gr Subst. gaben 7,50 cms N, (10,5O, 746mm) 0,0835 gr verloren bei looo 0,0232 gr an Gewicht.

## Abstract The electrolytic separation of Ta and Nb from cryolitic solutions of their respective pentoxides gives, under specified conditions, a yield of 90% of the initial Nb with a purity better than 98%.
