โœฆ Synopsis

In this paper, we investigate a property of linear differential equations where the initial state is described by a vector of fuzzy numbers. The property is related directly to the matrix defining the original nonfuzzy system by passing to a complex number representation of the a-level sets of the fuzzy system.

In the paper the general linear functional differential equation with several distributed deviations is considered. Sufficient conditions for the equation to have Property A (see Definition 1.2 below) are established. The obtained results are new even for Eq. (1.4).

Numerical algorithms for solving 'fuzzy ordinary differential equations' (FODE) are considered. A scheme based on the classical Euler method is discussed in detail, and this is followed by a complete error analysis. The algorithm is illustrated by solving several linear and nonlinear fuzzy Cauchy pr
