✦ Synopsis
A method of computing the conditional power of the Fisher exact test for comparing two binomial proportions, given the interim re~tlt~ of a study, is described. A program in BASIC is presented to implement the computation. The program can also be used for computing the power of the test at the beginning of a study or for plannin$ the ~mple size needed for • non-~ evaluation of a treatment with respect to a historical control.
