✦ Synopsis

In this paper we present a production scheduling system for parallel injection molding machines in an electrical appliance company. The architecture and data interface of the system is described. The nuclear scheduling problem is formulated as scheduling N-batch jobs in M-parallel machines to minimize the total tardiness penalties. A rulebased heuristic is proposed to solve it. The test results based on the practical production data shows that the system can enhance the production efficiency and rate of jobs on time in a satisfying level.
