โœฆ Synopsis

This story takes you into a near future where towns and cities lay under a radioactive fog of war. And the reader will visit scenes of love, honor, torment, death, and rebirth as they follow a small group of individuals as the struggle against an uncertain future. Completely rewritten and revived with new material and an expanded ending to take you to the edge of your seat as the heroes fight their own Private War!

Gaylon Masters is just trying to survive in a world gone mad. With a group of his town folk and friends he sets out to save as much as he can after a limited nuclear strike. But, there are others out there that only want to kill and take everything you have. So Gaylon has to start his own private war so that others can live!

From the Author

For the ones who have read the prior addition, this is a complete re-write and "hopefully" I have caught all the grammar and structure errors thatderailed the first release. As for graphic visuals of gunshots, this book has them but are pretty tame compared to the evening news. And shooting two handguns at the same time, I was military trained and worked as an NRA Firearms instructor for a number of years. So I know my guns and I stand by what I wrote. As for Granite House itself, I based that on one of the many cave systems that dot SE Minnesota and I would have loved to build a place like that, wouldn't you?

For alittle background, many parts of A Private War were written way back in the 1970's and 1980's and it has followed me as I traveled to Japan, Honduras, and England while serving in the US Air Force. And I am proud to have served my country even now.

Also, this books was started as a series and I had planned to publish Volume 2 some time ago but getting a degree, starting my Phd in Clinic Psychology, and having a heart attack caused me to place that on the back burner for now. After my new book, Darkness Reigns Fight For The Future, is released in a few months I would like to come back and visit Gaylon and Murdock's next meeting. Any bets on who might win?

About the Author

Currently, my wife and I live on 20 acres in the beautiful SE Missouri Ozarks in a completely off the grid lifestyle with wild turkeys, deer, and a great fishpond!
