✦ Synopsis
An effective screening method for antianaphylaxis was established using blood pressure (BP) monitoring in unanesthetized mice with an immediate hypersensitivity reaction system induced by hen egg-white lysozyme (HEL). This method allows speedy and reproducible screening of antianaphylactic substances. Using this system, the antianaphylactic effect was estimated for the 35% ethanol extract (IB) of petals of Impatiens balsamina L. and the compounds isolated from Impatiens balsamina L.
