✦ Synopsis

A simple post-processing method for clean-up of noise in HMBC spectra based of scaling individt 1 ual traces is described. The method does not address the origin of noise but improves the presentation of the F 1 t 1 spectra and facilitates manual interpretation and automatic peak picking.

Pile-up events in radiation detectors are those in which two or more pulses partly or completely overlap. In standard analog electronics pile-up events are rejected using a pile-up inspector. When digital acquisition techniques are used, the recorded waveforms of pile-ups can be elaborated and the c

## Abstract Anabolic androgenic steroids (AAS) are metabolized extensively in the human body, resulting mainly in the formation of glucuronide conjugates. Current detection methods for AAS are based on gas chromatographic/mass spectrometric (GC/MS) analysis of the hydrolyzed steroid aglycones. Thes
