✦ Synopsis
A much sma&r percentage uf thickened baJ7ets of the aortic valve have been found in the right or Le/i coronary Lea&t than in the noncorona?y
Leapt. This .study investigated the pressure loading transferring to the LeaJlets of the aortic valve and their effects on the valuular thickening. A sim@e asrending aorta model was estahlirhed, and a simulation was made. The pressure loading in the coronary and noncoronary lea/lets then 7um estimated. The simulation results showed that 5.8 % to 17. % percentage of pressure loadi'ng to the coronary Leajet may he decreased by the coronary perfusion in diastolu. The coronary arteries pLq an important role on pressures in the sinuses of VaLsaLva. The smaller pressure loading transfting to the coronary 1eaJLet than that to the noncorona? LeaJLef i.s one reasonabLe explanation related to the thickened Leajets of the aortic valve.
