Abstract

A description is given of a portable distant‐indicating apparatus suitable for carrying out critical explorations of the vertical distribution of temperature and humidity near the ground. The apparatus is simple in construction in that considerable use is made of moulded plastic tubes of standard shapes and sizes. Essential instrumental characteristics and some details of manipulation and performance in the field are included.
