✦ Synopsis
A film dosimeter (0.35 mm thick) composed of polyethylene-vinyl acetate and microcrystalline L-a-alanine has been prepared and investigated with respect to dosimetric properties using electron spin resonance spectroscopy. The useful absorbed dose range is _ 25 to 10' Gy and no dose-rate dependence of the response is observed between 1 and 10' Gy ss' within the dose range up to 50 kGy. With irradiation temperature increasing from 25 to 80°C the response increases at most by 10%. The response is stable, within experimental uncertainty, at least up to 2500 h after irradiation.
The suitability of the polymer-alanine film for measurements of ionizing photon and electron dose distributions is

Several methods for dose deposition of a given isodose distribution were developed by implementation of different techniques of accelerator use. Common to all of these methods is the time-dependent change of certain accelerator parameters during radiation treatment. The accelerators for which these
Measurements of the relative emission rates of the 776 keV gamma ray, the positrons and the K x-rays in the decay of 82Rb have been repeated. This has led to the finding that the gamma ray to positron ratio is 0.1578 +/- 0.0019 and that the 776 keV gamma-ray probability per decay is (15.12 +/- 0.18)
This paper deals with the problem of finding the effective pathlength along a ray passing through a patient's outline and internal structure. The pathlength contributes to the correction applied for curvature and inhomogeneities in the computer-aided calculation of external beam radiation dose distr
