✦ Synopsis
The de and dp polarographic behaviour of aldrithiol-2 in aqueous solution has been studied over the range pH l-1 1. Depending on the concentration of aldrithiol-2 and the drop time, a single wave or two waves are obtained. In the latter case, one is a "main wave"and the other a Brdicka adsorption post-wave. The mechanism of the electrode process has been deduced from the dependence of the wave characteristics upon pH and from the results of scan-direct and scan-reverse normal pulse polarography, Kaiousek (K3) polarography and acl polarography.
