## Abstract Amino acid/transition metal chloride mixtures were studied by plasma desorption mass spectrometry. The six aliphatic α‐amino acids were considered: glycine (Gly), alanine (Ala), valine (Val), leucine (Leu), isoleucine (Ile) and proline (Pro), together with four transition metal chloride
