The Pharmacopceia of the Massachusetts Medical Society was presented in manuscript June 5, 1807; it was "prepared conformably to a vote of the Counselors, passed on the 3rd day of October 1805, and published in Boston, December 17, 1807." The following paragraphs are quoted from the Preface: "Such
